2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain District, Manzanita Hill, Walter Teachworth Memorial Vintage

$185.00

The 2013 vintage holds particular significance as it marks the year we lost Walter Teachworth—visionary, founder, and the heart behind the dream. His adventurous spirit and quiet determination continue to shape every vine, every vintage, and every bottle that bears his name.

According to Wine Spectator, the 2013 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon was “an ideal season—dry conditions and a long, sunny summer.”

Restrained and complex, this wine is more reminiscent of a first growth Bordeaux than a wine from California.  Licorice, clove, and red fruit balance with elegance.  Although this wine is drinking great now, it will only improve with age. We recommend cellaring for an additional 2-10 years.

Winemaker: Joan Teachworth

Appellation: Diamond Mountain

Barrel Aging: 24 months in 100% new French oak

Alcohol: 14.1% // pH:3.56 // TA:6.0
